How is the academic life at this university/college? It isn't really tough to study if you go to the class regularly. as a music student, some of the lecturers give us a lot of assignments and the marking is quite strict, but some of them is also quite loose. moreover, they mostly know our names because the students in department of music are not as many as business, science, or others. in giving the lectures, the lecturers use their own methods, some of them regularly giving quizzes, ask the students to do presentation, and most of them want the students to participate in class. i feel not all of the students compete w/ each other. Also, the lecturers give us their consultation time like 2 hours in a week so if we want to ask some questions, we can go the the office and ask them personally. overall, as a music student the academic life at ucsi is quite good. What are the students like? the student population is rather big esp for the international students. a lot of them come from country in Africa ( Nigeria, Botswana, ...), Middle East (Irak, Iran, Pakistan,...), China, and Indonesia. some of the students like to wear a very simply clothes (t-shirt, shorts with the slipper) to class which is i think is not right to go the university with that kind of costume. What do students do when not studying? Tell us about the social and sports life. there are many student's activites and clubs in UCSI. for example School of music student association, accounting and finance student association, and i am also the member of that society. the students organize some sports competitions, musical concerts, and talks. i think there is good balance of study and social life. What is your overall opinion about this university/college? for me the best thing about this university is it helps me to learn and know music better with some of the experts in music. Tell us about your overall experience in studying in this country firstly, i did not really like studying in Malaysia. i rather hate a little bit because there are so many africans and most of them act badly. but as time went by, i feel it's quite fun to meet new friends and i have started to adapt with the environment already. there are a lot of fun things happened in the middle of my studying like we went to thailand together with other indonesian friends during the sem-break. i'll miss it for sure.
