About University of Selangor (UNISEL)

Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) was established on 23rd August 1999 as the first state-owned and managed university in Selangor. The reason of funding, is because the aim is to make Selangor the leading regional education hub. Although it is owned by the state of Selangor, the university is considered a private university because it is not funded by the Malaysian federal government. As one of the earliest private institutions of higher learning in Malaysia, UNISEL is committed to develop students into professionals and scholars by offering an excellent and contributory learning environment.

Currently they operate from two campuses which consists of the Main Campus in Bestari Jaya and the City Campus in Shah Alam.
