About Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)
Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) didirikan pertama kali pada 13 Agustus 2002 sebagai universitas swasta non-profit yang menyediakan pendidikan berkualitas yang terjangkau. Universitas ini dibangun di bawah naungan UTAR
Education Foundation dan tercatat di Malaysian Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996.
Dibimbing oleh visinya untuk menjadi universitas berpendidikan unggul dunia, UTAR sangat dikenal sebagai salah satu institusi pendidikan tinggi swasta yang berkembang pesat di negara ini dengan pertumbuhan yang fenomenal dalam semua aspek perkembangannya sejak universitas ini didirikan. Dengan angkatan pertama yang hanya berjumlah 411 siswa di kampus Petaling Jaya pada tahun 2002, pendaftar universitas ini kini telah mencapai 24,000 siswa dengan kampus-kampus yang berada di Kampar, Perak dan Bandar Sungai Long, Selangor.
UTAR telah meluluskan lebih dari 58,000 siswa sejak upacara wisudanya yang pertama di tahun 2005 dan telah membuat langkah yang mengesankan dalam membangun reputasi yang kuat sebagai universitas yang komprehensif dengan dedikasi untuk mencapai keunggulan dalam mengajar dan penelitian. University ini kini menawarkan lebih dari 110 program akademik dari Foundation Studies hingga Bachelor, Master, dan PhD di bidang Accounting, Business and Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Process Management, Agriculture and Food Science, Arts, Social Sciences and Education, Creative Industries and Design, Engineering and Built Environment, Information and Communication Technology, Life and Physical Sciences, dan Medicine and Health Sciences.

UTAR didirikan dengan misi untuk menyediakan pendidikan berkualitas untuk semua orang. Untuk menampung porsi besar dari populasi, universitas ini memiliki dua kampus, UTAR Kampar Campus di Perak, dan UTAR Sungai Long Campus di Klang Valley. Dua kampus ini memiliki 9 fakultas, 3 institut, dan 3 pusat studi.
UTAR Kampar Campus (Perak)
Kampar Campus yang berada di Perak terletak di North-South Highway, berjarak 190 kilometer atau 2 jam mengemudi dari Kuala Lumpur. Dikenal sebagai kota bekas pertambangan timah, Kampar merupakan distrik dari Kinta Valley, Perak, yang kaya akan sejarah pertambangan timahnya. Kini, Kampar merupakan pusat pendidikan yang ramai oleh karena itu Kampar Campus dibangun.
Pemenang penghargaan, Kampar Campus, diapit oleh gunung-gunung dan danau yang indah, menawarkan lingkungan yang asri yang sangat kondusif untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar dan penelitian.
Sungai Long Campus (Selangor)
Sungai Long Campus yang terletak di Bandar Sungai Long, kota utama di Kajang, Selangor, merupakan kampus modern yang memberikan banyak keuntungan. Lokasinya yang berada di tempat tinggal perkotaan Bandar Sungai Long dekat kota Kuala Lumpur memberikan keuntungan dari dua pihak. Lokasi ini memberikan lingkungan belajar yang tenang dari lokasi pinggiran kota dan kemudahan kota-kota besar seperti banyaknya perumahan, makanan yang terjangkau, fasilitas bank dan beragam hiburan.
Untuk melengkapi pengalaman belajar, mengajar dan meneliti, kampus ini dilengkapi dengan perpustakaan, laboratorium, komputer dan peralatan medis.
